水生生物資源出版關于海洋、咸水和淡水環(huán)境中所有已開發(fā)(即捕撈或養(yǎng)殖)生物資源的原始研究論文、評論文章和序言。優(yōu)先考慮以生態(tài)系統為基礎的方法來研究漁業(yè)和水產養(yǎng)殖的社會生態(tài)系統，包括生物、生態(tài)、經濟和社會方面。該期刊特別歡迎關于發(fā)展跨學科方法和工具的研究，這些方法和工具能夠有效地支持為不同規(guī)模的漁業(yè)和/或水產養(yǎng)殖系統設計、執(zhí)行和評價替代管理戰(zhàn)略。這包括探討保護水生生物多樣性的設想和戰(zhàn)略，以及研究制訂綜合評價辦法，以確保可持續(xù)和高質量地利用水生生物資源。

Aquatic Living Resources publishes original research papers, review articles and propective notes dealing with all exploited (i.e. fished or farmed) living resources in marine, brackish and freshwater environments.Priority is given to ecosystem-based approaches to the study of fishery and aquaculture social-ecological systems, including biological, ecological, economic and social dimensions.Research on the development of interdisciplinary methods and tools which can usefully support the design, implementation and evaluation of alternative management strategies for fisheries and/or aquaculture systems at different scales is particularly welcome by the journal. This includes the exploration of scenarios and strategies for the conservation of aquatic biodiversity and research relating to the development of integrated assessment approaches aimed at ensuring sustainable and high quality uses of aquatic living resources.
